Coordination Structure

The Global Environment Facility (GEF)

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) was established in October 1991 on the eve of the Rio Earth Summit to help tackle our planet’s most pressing environmental problems.

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)

UNIDO is a specialized UN agency that assists countries in industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization and environmental sustainability. As of April 2019, 170 states were members of UNIDO.

Project Steering Committee (PSC)

The Project Steering Committee formed by representatives of related ministries and other stakeholders ensures overall project management and coordinates interaction between the ministries of the participating countries.

Project Management Unit (PMU)

The project management unit (PMU) is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project and local monitoring of its implementation.
