Review and Update of the National Implementation Plan for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants POPs in Albania, Armenia and Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, supported by JSC Zhasyl Damu as well as the international partner, the Regional Centre of the Stockholm Convention, RECETOX (Brno, Czech Republic) — held a National Inception Meeting as part of the implementation of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) project entitled “Review and Update of the National Implementation Plan for the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in Albania, Armenia and Kazakhstan”.

The project aims to support the Republic of Kazakhstan in fulfilling its international obligations by updating the National Implementation Plan in accordance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Stockholm Convention.
