Online Training Brings Together Central Asian Experts to Strengthen Safe Management of Persistent Organic Pollutants and Pesticides

12 September 2025 – An online training titled “Persistent Organic Pollutants and Pesticides: From Threats to Safe Practices” was held within the framework of the ToxicNet Regional Network on Chemical Safety and Obsolete Pesticides, with the technical support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Center for Sustainable Development Assistance.

The training aimed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of specialists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan in managing persistent organic pollutants (POPs), including obsolete pesticides, while fostering experience-sharing to reduce risks to human health and the environment.
